The Sunday School ministry of the Shippensburg First Church of God is intended to meet the spiritual needs of the entire Family. We firmly believe that children, youth and adults need to be actively involved in studying The Word of God and applying it to their lives so that we might imitate the character and actions of Christ. Our desire is summarized in II Timothy 3:16,17 - "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the person of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."

Because the Bible is God's inspired Word, we should read it and apply it to our lives. Our desire is not to study the Bible simply to grow in knowledge or to help us to win debates. Our goal is to study God's Word so that we will know how to do our Lord's work in the world. Such knowledge of His Word is not truly good unless it builds our faith and directs us to do what is right.
