Gary loves people and has a heart for discipleship. His favorite verse is 2 Timothy 2:2, "and the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others." The ministry of presence and encouraging others is his heart, personal philosophy, and practice. It permeates his training/equipping of others. Gary attended Lancaster Bible College and has served in full-time ministry for 30 years including nine months in Haiti and over 24 years with Joy El Generation. 

Gary and Joyce have been married for 37 years. God has blessed them with four grown children, Michael, Jeanette, Beth, and Denae and eleven grandchildren. Gary enjoys time with family, travel, missions, sports, reading, and personal growth.
